Seasonal Celebrations Ruigoord
Reaching back to the indigenous European tradition, the union of the god with the goddess and personal and social development form the basis of circular thinking and are mirrored by the cycle of nature.
Eight times a year, the Ruigoord community comes together to celebrate the various seasonal celebrations in the cycle of the year wheel. Each celebration has its own ceremonies and traditions which are related to the specific season to reinforce the corresponding consciousness. For example, winter is a time of introspection, spring is the time to initiate new projects, summer is the time to harvest the fruits and autumn is a period of reflection, preparing for winter which focuses on releasing the old and unusable.
