Based in Ruigoord, the Amsterdam Balloon Company, “the hard core of soft aviation”, was founded in 1972 and has organised festivals and happenings for half a century. One of them being the iconic annual Balloon party in Paradiso, Amsterdam, where Ruigoord in large works together to create an ecstatic show to close the year.

Fortuna Favet Fatuis is a fabulous assemblage movie by the Amsterdam Balloon Company.
This collective-multi-disciplinary Gesamstkunstwerk is the result of the untameable creative urge of an artists’ village full of dreamers and do-ers, who, thanks to the constraints of these strange times have taken up new forms to keep the beloved tradition of the Balloon Show alive and well in 2022.
